Just for fun! | Tulsa Portrait Photographer

My good friend (who happens to be named Sarah as well, – awesome name! -  and has frequented my blog this past year) came over and we went out to shoot a few shots just for fun. :) Its cold, and with the holidays and snow, I was getting an itch to shoot something other then my own kids or for work. As much as I love and adore my 2 sweet children, they can be a pain to photograph. (I blame PCS – photographer’s child syndrome, they despise my camera and will do just about anything to avoid it)

SO since Sarah is used to having a camera in her face and I think secretly likes it, she offered to be my guinea pig …. eh …. model for the afternoon. :)

Looking for 6-12 month old babies! | Tulsa Baby Photographer

I’m so excited to announce this model call! I have lots of new ideas to try out with this age and am needing new faces for my website! I’m speicifically looking for babies age 6-12 months. In exchange for being my model, you will receive a custom session and one 8×10 portrait of your choice (total value of $170). Since I have specific ideas to try, wardrobe and styling will be directed by the studio, although I am happy to include a favorite “look” of yours at the end of the session (according to baby’s temperment). If you are interested in participating, please send a recent snapshot to sarah@sarahmansurphotography.com and I will get back with you within a week. While I’d love to work with everyone who responds, this model call is limited to ten babies.

Our Christmas 2009 | Sarah Mansur Photography

For the first time in 10 years, it felt like Christmas. My sister and her family came down, and we crammed 10 people into my moms house. (we are living here now, since we sold our house, and we haven’t closed on the house we are buying yet!) It was the first year that my son really knew Christmas was coming and understood what it meant. We counted down the days with him, and he woke us up Christmas morning singing Happy Birthday to Jesus and asking when we could open presents.  :) It was a good Christmas this year.

We also had SNOW, which never ever happens. The dream of a white Christmas came true for Oklahoma, and it did’nt even melt the next day like normal! In fact, there is STILL snow on the ground right now! Lots of it! I grew up in Phoenix, so snow still has that magical wonderful feel about it. It also reminds me of my dad, and making a snow man with him the first winter we were here in Oklahoma. So no, I am not one to complain about the snow. I don’t mind my pants getting wet or my toes freezing, or the slick street or the big trucks/SUV’s on the side of the road who think they are all that beacuse they have 4WD and ended up in the ditch, or it takeing 30 min to drive the 3 miles to downtown Jenks.   Nope, I love it all. :)

So, with that said,  on with pictures from our snowy, Christmasy days!!!

Mom said she had a snowman for each of us  kids. I think I’m the cute one in the middle.  ;)

Oh, and we had LOTS and LOTS of food! This was just the beginning of it over the past few days! I swear I’m never eating again…

Christmas Morning! I loved the warm haze that was coming through the window from the sunrise. Even tho it was freezing cold out, it still looked warm.
